The reflector comes along with an L shaped plate that is supposed to be used to connect the lamp base and the reflector. This L-plate is way too weak to keep those two in a correct angle. So the next thing I needed was some aluminium rail. Of course you can do the lamp frame from other materials but I managed to get these expensive pieces of aluminium frame for free. I think aluminium is good material for the frame because it’s relatively light and still very durable. They say that energy saving lamps don’t heat the close environment. Even so, the aluminium frame gets little warm. This doesn’t matter since there’s no chance of it starting to burn.
To connect pieces together I used 5 mm bolts and nuts. In a picture above there is a finished lamp frame without the lamp and the reflector.
After the frame was done it was time to connect the E40 base of the lamp and the reflector. Those two were already connected to each other with previously mentioned L-plate because it gave a good support to the electric cable.
After lamp was successfully connected it looked like this.
Lamp at work. It is connected to the roof of the shelf with a thin metal chain.
